Doktoratsschule Erdwissenschaften

Wenn Sie auf dieser Seite sind, weil Sie Interesse an einem Doktoratsstudium an der Universität Graz haben, dann freuen wir uns natürlich darauf, Sie in der Doktoratsschule Erdwissenschaften begrüßen zu dürfen. Allerdings muss dazu erst Ihre Inskription via der Studienabteilung erfolgen und die Doktoratsschule ist zunächst leider nicht Ihr Ansprechpartner. Wir wollen Ihnen allerdings helfen und geben Ihnen daher hier ein paar Tipps, wie Sie ein Student werden können und auf welche Probleme Sie dabei treffen könnten.

Als erstes brauchen Sie natürlich ein Projekt bzw. ein Thema Ihrer Doktorarbeit. Dieses Projekt/Thema kann finanziert oder auch nicht finanziert sein. Danach müssen Sie sich als Doktorats-Student an der Universität Graz einschreiben. Dafür wird es notwendig sein, ein Masters-Zeugnis akkreditieren zu lassen - falls Sie davor nicht in Österreich studiert haben. Es kann auch sein, dass Sie einen Nachweis über die Kenntnisse der englischen Sprache erbringen müssen. Wenn ihr Projekt ein Anstellungsverhältnis an der Universität Graz involviert, dann werden einige dieser Aspekte aufgrund der verschiedenen Notwendigkeiten,  die es für Studenten von verschiedenen Hintergründen und Ländern gibt, schwerer und andere leichter sein. Falls Sie ein Doktorats-Projekt planen, zu dem Sie keine Finanzierung finden, so gibt es auch die Möglichkeit, Ihre eigene Finanzierung zu beantragen.  Der Österreichische Akademische Austauschdienst ÖAD (https://oead.at/) oder die Österreichische Akademie der Wissenschaften (https://www.oeaw.ac.at/) sind zwei von mehreren Institutionen, die personalisierte Doktorats-Projekte finanzieren.
